Guo Lin furrowed his brow, deep in thought.
"Doctor Guo, the operating room is all set." One of Guo Lin’s people who had come from Jingsheng Hospital reported.
His train of thought was abruptly interrupted.

"Prepare for the surgery." Guo Lin nodded and addressed those present.
"Yes!" The doctors from Ling County responded excitedly.
A flurry of footsteps crackled and snapped.
The lights in the operating room lit up again.
Hours later, the doors to the operating room opened, and the doctor inside emerged, a look of joy covering his face.
"The surgery was extremely successful!" the first doctor to come out shouted down the hallway.
Hearing this, the silent crowd awaiting news instantly rose to their feet.
"Really?" Uncle Xia hastily asked the doctor.
"Really, the surgery was a success, a great success! Doctor Guo’s skills are amazing. Watching him perform a surgery is a learning experience in itself!" The doctor, being from Ling City, was as excited as if he were a family member of the patient.
Aunt Xia covered her mouth, and finally couldn’t hold back her tears.
"Good, it’s all so good!" Uncle Xia trembled with excitement, almost incoherently grateful.
As if a huge weight had been lifted and placed firmly on the ground, Xia Chuyi leaned heavily against the wall behind her, and closed her eyes.
The mixture of the doctor’s joyful exclamations, Aunt Xia’s cries of happiness, and Uncle Xia’s excited thanks filled her ears.
An indescribable surge of emotion welled up from her heart, and Xia Chuyi put her hands behind her, clenching them tightly.
Soon, the doors to the patient room swung fully open, and a group of doctors pushed Zhao Xiaogui’s hospital bed outside. The family hurriedly approached.

Guo Lin massaged his neck and said to the other doctors present, "The surgery was very successful, without a single flaw. I’ve told you all the key points for post-operative care. Just do as I instructed."
After speaking, he turned to face Huo Shiqian, "Huo family’s young man, it’s time for you to take me back, isn’t it?"
Huo Shiqian nodded, "Of course, Uncle Guo. You’ve worked hard."
"Hmph!" Guo Lin snorted, "So you do know I’ve worked hard? Getting a ’Uncle Guo’ from you is not easy indeed!"
Guo Lin caught a glimpse of Xia Chuyi still standing there, not having left. He looked at her, then at Huo Shiqian, contemplatively.
