Affinity: Chaos Chapter 1961

“He’s not inside. Not just him, over a hundred people are missing as well.” Chris’s reply shook the group. Klaus froze, his pupils dilated, “Did they hide somewhere?” He asked hurriedly. There was a possibility his Father and the hundred or so people hid somewhere when they noticed the Gnomes. That was a very high probability. Chris shook his head, “We’ve checked everywhere in the Faction grounds, none of them are there. And there were no sightings of them leaving. I’m afraid…” Chris did not want to complete his statement, he did not have the heart to. Grey’s expression was icy. When they came here, Klaus was excited throughout the journey at the thought of finally seeing his Father after so long. Even though the Gnomes were attacking, he believed there was no way anything would happen to his Father since he was not strong enough to get involved in the battle. Knowing Chris, he knew he would definitely keep him in a safe place. Reynolds and Alice were quiet as well, unable to say a word. Their families were in Red City, among the very first people to migrate there. During the period Reynolds went out with the Half God Plane expert, he brought his family there on the way back. Alice contacted her family and did the same as well. Klaus only had his Father, and since he was in an ancient Faction, he did not think he would be in any danger. Even when he heard from Grey about the attack on True Dawn, he still did not think his Father would be in any danger as long as Chris was alive. What he did not expect was for his Father to go missing while he was here fighting. The only thought in his head now was why he did not rush to meet his Father the moment he came here. “Were they close to the place of the explosion?” Grey remained cool-headed, focusing his gaze on his Teacher. “Not all of them. At least I know Oliver didn’t leave my residence. Brown is missing too.” Chris replied despondently. He had been with Brown, his Griffin for countless years now, and even though he had greatly outgrown her in terms of strength, he still loved and cared for her greatly. She was not just his mount, she was his companion. “There’s a chance they took them with them then.” Grey said while deep in thoughts. Chris thought for a moment before nodding, “I think so too. There’s a strong spatial aura there. I think you will be able to sense it if you get there.” Klaus’s eyes were ice cold, upon hearing there was a possibility his Father was taken by the Gnomes, he turned to Grey. “Can we go into the Faction grounds?” Grey asked, he understood before anything, he still had to inspect the place and confirm. “Give me a minute.” Chris brought out a disc as he said this. Sending a stream of energy into it, it glowed for a brief second. Chris waited for about two minutes or so before the disc flickered again. “Let’s go.” Chris motioned for the group to follow him. The Peak Sovereigns that came with them wanted to follow, only to get an apologetic look from Chris who explained to them that only the four were given access to enter the Faction grounds. The duo at the gate did not stop them this time, unlike the last time. When they entered the Faction grounds, they did not have the time to observe the place as their whole focus was on getting to the place of the explosion. They were still about a hundred meters from there and Grey had already sensed the strong space aura coming from that direction. “Is the seal related to the space element?” He asked as they got closer. “Somewhat, from what I know, that expert has about six elements or so, and the space element was one of them.” Chris replied with his brows raised, taking a glance at Grey, he could not help but recall how the latter did not have an affinity to any element the first time he saw him. Seeing him again, he had two. Now after so many years, the latter appeared with more elements. A truly strange situation that he could not figure out. Follow current novᴇls on novel·fiɾe·net “Oh, interesting. I’d like to learn about this person if I get the chance.” Grey commented. “Information regarding him is tightly kept, I don’t think that Old Man will allow you to read about him.” Chris shook his head, feeling it was unlikely they would give Grey access to such knowledge. Even he, who was a member of the Faction only knew some surface knowledge information regarding the expert. “A shame.” Grey shook his head, not thinking much of it. If True Dawn did not allow him to read on the expert, he would not mind. He was only a little curious, nothing more. They arrived at their destination in a few seconds, looking at the large crater before him, Grey’s expression darkened. ‘Void, can you trace where they might have teleported to?’ He asked Void internally. Void appeared on his shoulder, pondering for a moment he called out the Bunny Leader. The Bunny Leader and Void got to work, studying the place as they tried to find the exact place the teleportation took place as well as its potential destination. As the duo fiddled around, Grey took the opportunity to study his environment. The houses around this place were all archaic, a clear sign of how old they were. Unlike the ones in the Pyro Faction that looked old yet well taken care of, this one had clear signs of dilapidation. It was as if the buildings were not well taken care of over the years and were only standing due to how sturdy they were. He also noticed the way the people around were staring at them, with intense curiosity. Void and the Bunny Leader were still trying to figure out if they could locate the place the teleportation took place when Grey noticed a pair of eyes glued to him. ‘Huh?’ He curiously turned in the direction of the gaze, only to lock eyes with the same Lady who was at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane who also stared at him oddly in the battlefield. Here’s the chap guys! Sorry for the delay, was caught up in some things. Thanks for reading and have a great day y’all!
