Affinity: Chaos Chapter 1780

Grey didn't expect to appear in this Region, but since he appeared here, he didn't mind going for the opportunity Sir Astarot offered him. After confirming that he could at least keep himself alive in the secret world, Sir Astarot told Grey about an opportunity hiding inside the Raging Flame Region. According to what he said, there was a human genius from the Vaergahl Family who was also given an opportunity to enter this place a few thousand years ago, but he unfortunately didn't make it out. This genius from the Vaergahl Family was already at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane at that time, and was desperately searching for an opportunity to break through to the Half God Plane. Apparently, although he was still below a hundred years old at that time, he was ambushed and severely injured. Just like Grey, he too could create Dragon scales, and he too wasn't an ordinary genius. During one of his travels he offended an Half God expert and was ambushed and almost killed after being tricked by the expert. To escape the encirclement, he had to use a secret technique that drained his life-force. Having only a few years left to seek the Half God Plane if he wanted to extend his life, he had no choice but to beg the Dragons for assistance. Fortunately for him, the secret realm was being opened at the time, so the Dragons let him in since they valued him highly and naturally didn't want such a genius to die. None of them would've predicted that a genius from the one of Magical Beasts' Clans entering the secret realm held a grudge against him. The duo encountered each other close to the Raging Flame Central Region, the Magical Beast attacked the genius without warning after seeing him in the secret realm. The genius managed to kill this Magical Beast, but it was at the cost of expending the rest of his life-force. Before dying, this genius was able to see one of the Magical Beasts that entered this place with it and passed on this information to Sir Astarot through a voice crystal. The genius placed a powerful seal on this voice crystal, making sure that there was no way other Magical Beasts could easily access the information except they had the same strength and essence as Sir Astarot. To make sure he didn't randomly cause anyone's death with the seal, he made sure that only those with pure Dragon Blood Essence, and those also in the Half God Plane stage could access it. This way, only Sir Astarot was privy to the knowledge of this genius' death. Even the Vaergahl Family were clueless about the whereabouts of said genius. At the time the genius came, he told Sir Astarot of his condition, and Sir Astarot made sure no one leaked the information of the genius entering the secret realm with the Magical Beasts. Grey also received the information that only Peak Sovereigns appear here and no Half God Plane experts. With Grey's current cultivation stage, he didn't need to fear anyone in this place. This is even better than the time he sneaked into the Gnome World. At that time, he still feared Late stage Sovereigns. With his current strength, if he were to enter the Gnome World again, he wouldn't even need any tricks and straight up wiped out the entire Capital before any information leaks. At that time, there were no Half God present in the Gnome World, so it wasn't an exaggeration to say he would've been able to move impeded. He couldn't move impeded there, but in this world, he didn't have any worries. What makes everything even better is that he didn't have to worry about the safety of others. In the Aurora Continent, he at least had family and friends he wouldn't want to be hunted down. The memories of the days he and his friends were hunted in the Azure Continent were still fresh in his head. From what he knew, this secret realm had two Regions, and each Region had three Territories each. Each Territory is usually named after the overlords of said Territory. Take the Raging Flame Territory for instance, it was located in the Mythic Region. Other than the Raging Flame Territory, there were also the Cobblestone Territory and the Twilight Territory. The Raging Flame Territory, as the name suggests is lorded over by a Faction known as the Raging Flames Faction. It had two Peak Sovereigns in the Faction, and there were multiple Ninth stage Sovereigns. Just like the Raging Flame Faction, the other three overlords of their respective Territories in the two Regions of this secret world had around the same overall strength. However, there was a Territory in the other Region that is said to have an expert that's surprisingly stronger than the other Peak Sovereigns. Sir Astarot assured Grey that there were no Half God Plane experts in this secret world as the world doesn't allow it. Knowing that Sir Astarot wouldn't lie to him, Grey knew that there were only two reasons behind this person's superior strength over the others. Either the other Peak Sovereigns were not as strong as real Peak Sovereigns, or this person is a Half God expert. At the thought of this, Grey sucked in a cold breath. Although he didn't stay in that little Tribe for long, he was at least able to learn the basic knowledge of this world. If he wanted to have the freedom to achieve all that he wanted, then he needed to make sure to at least know which forces he could afford to offend. From what Sir Astarot told him, the genius from the Vaergahl Family died in a top Family in the central region of the Raging Flame Territory. The Family was one of the overlords in this region. Even though it was not on the same level as the Raging Flame Faction, it didn't fall too short as it too had its own Peak Sovereign.
