The raspy voice chuckled ominously. Then, the voice on the other end changed, and Li Xiaoman’s cries came through: "Bai Yan, don’t come here! It’s a trap! Don’t fall for it!"
Li Xiaoman was at Li Lai Casino!
Bai Yan’s eyes narrowed slightly, a flash of anger passing by: "You dare kidnap my person?"
"No no no, we just invited your girlfriend over for a visit, for some tea. And if possible, we’d like Mr. Bai to come over too, to discuss some unpleasant matters that happened previously."
"We would very much like Mr. Bai to explain where our people have gone, as they couldn’t have just disappeared into thin air, right?"
The raspy voice laughed, a hint of triumph in his tone.
"Ten minutes, I’ll be there! But I warn you, you better not harm her!"
"Otherwise, by this time tomorrow, Li Lai Casino will no longer exist in Mo City... I’m not joking with you!"
Bai Yan’s voice was chilling to the extreme, like the cold wind from the Abyss. The man on the other end couldn’t help but shiver.
Bai Yan didn’t wait for the other party to respond, hung up the phone, and strode out of the classroom with his backpack.
Chen Yudong looked up in astonishment: "Brother Yan, where are you going? Professor Alberta will be here soon."
