Absolute Being: I Am Nothing Chapter 5

Adam stared at the screen and smirked. The stats in front of him were ridiculous. There was no point trying to downplay it. He wasn’t just strong. He wasn’t just some broken protagonist. He was the strongest being in this entire world. The top. The end. The Absolute of Absolutes. He whistled and folded his tiny arms. "Well damn... so this is what all those MCs dream about." He remembered all the novels he read on slow nights back in Lagos. All those characters fighting demons, gods, monsters, old ancestors, spirit beasts. Working their way up. Begging for blessings. Training for years. Nearly dying every arc. All of them chasing "the strongest." None of them realizing there were beings above their gods. Beings that could kill their gods without blinking. And he... He had just landed on the highest seat without trying. He let out a long, insane laugh that echoed louder than he expected. His laughter was so loud the guards outside panicked and barged into the room. They rushed in with spears raised. Adam stopped laughing and stared at them. "The fuck?" he said, annoyance all over his face. If this was back home, he’d have their heads on a table by now. He didn’t even need to raise his voice. Men disappeared when he was angry. One of the guards pointed his spear at Adam’s chest. "What language are you speaking, slave boy?" He pushed the spear forward— And it didn’t touch Adam. It stopped in the air like something was blocking it. But there was nothing there. Adam looked at the spear, then at the guard. "What the fuck are you trying to do?" The guard pulled back, confused. He pushed again. Harder. The spear refused to move an inch closer to Adam. "Wait... wasn’t he supposed to be talentless?" the guard asked his partner. "I swear he is," the other guard said. "He didn’t awaken anything last week." They both stared at Adam like he was some cursed artifact. The second guard pointed at him. "Boy, what is this ’fuck’ you keep saying?" Adam blinked. Then he scoffed. "The fuck you calling boy?" The guards stiffened. Adam stood up from the cot with full confidence, tiny body or not. "I need both of you to hear me very well," he said, tapping his chest. "My name is Adam. I’m from Delta State. Lagos boy. I ran the west and the south. I walked the streets and grown men stepped aside. If I wanted, I could fuck both of you up right now and nobody would say anything." The two guards exchanged looks. They weren’t scared. They were confused. Like Adam was speaking in tongues. The system finally spoke. [You are not in that world anymore, Master. And that identity is beneath you.] Adam frowned. "Explain that later," he muttered. "These ones don’t even know who I am." He grumbled to himself. He couldn’t exactly introduce himself as: "Hi, I’m the Absolute Being of Nonexistence." Nonsense. They’d laugh and beat him half-dead. Trash was better than Nothing. At least trash was still something. The guards stepped back a little. "Is he mad?" the first one whispered. "He didn’t awaken any talent," the second said. "Maybe the boy’s brain spoiled." Adam rolled his eyes. "My brain is fine. Yours is the one dragging on the floor." The first guard raised the spear again. "Talk again, I’ll—" The spear bent. Just bent. Without touching Adam. The guard jumped back like he saw a ghost. "What— what was that?!" Adam smirked. "You’re poking the wrong person." The second guard switched from fear to anger. "If you have a talent, then you should have shown it on Awakening Day! Slave brats don’t get second chances!" Adam looked at his small hands. "I didn’t awaken anything. That’s true." He lifted his head and met their eyes with a tiny grin. "But I didn’t need to." The guards froze. Something cold crawled under their skin even though nothing happened. Adam tilted his head. "So what now? You two barged in for nothing?" "We heard you shouting," one guard said. "We came to check." "I was laughing," Adam corrected. The second guard pointed at him again. "Why were you laughing like a demon child?" Adam shrugged. "Good mood." The first guard stepped closer again. "If you cause trouble, you’ll be beaten. You hear?" Adam smiled like someone who had already killed fifty men in one night. "I hear. Loud and clear." The spear trembled in the guard’s hand even though Adam hadn’t moved. The guard stepped back. The second guard whispered, "Let’s go. Something about this kid is... wrong." "But—" "Let’s go!" They both hurried out, closing the door behind them. Adam sat back down and crossed his arms. Then he sighed. "System." [Yes, Master.] "Those Absolute Beings. List them again." [Absolute Space] [Absolute Time] [Absolute Matter/Energy] [Absolute Life] [Absolute Death] [Absolute Order] [Absolute Chaos] [Absolute Infinity] [Absolute Creation] [And You] Adam exhaled deeply and leaned forward. "All those beings... stronger than gods... stronger than everything else... and I’m above them?" [Correct.] He swallowed. This was beyond anything he ever imagined. He wasn’t aiming to be the strongest. He wasn’t grinding. He wasn’t training. He wasn’t fighting for centuries. He simply... woke up here. And he was already at the very top. He rubbed his face with both small hands again. "This is crazy." Adam looked down at himself again—small legs, small arms, tiny frame. A joke of a body. He flexed his fingers, and they trembled like wet noodles. He clicked his tongue. "This can’t continue," he muttered. He wasn’t stupid. He knew exactly how useless a five-year-old body was. No strength. No speed. No reach. No intimidation. He couldn’t fight, couldn’t run, couldn’t even lift half the things he used to break with his bare hands. This wasn’t going to cut it. He needed power. He needed freedom. He needed a proper body. And most of all— He needed to go back. He had to see if Rebecca survived that missile. Even if the chance was tiny. Even if it was stupid. He needed to know. If she was alive... good. If she wasn’t... His fingers curled slowly. He would drag every Absolute Being into the light. He would rip open existence until he found whoever could recreate her perfectly. Not a copy. Not a fake. The real her. And if they refused? He would erase all of them. Every concept. Every world. Every timeline. Every god. Everything. Let the universe beg for death. But that was later. Right now, he needed to get out of here before someone tried to test him again. He stood up and brushed his small hands across his clothes. They barely did anything, but it made him feel less... tiny. "Alright," he muttered. "Let’s go." He walked out. His steps were short, but his stride was firm. He didn’t wobble. He didn’t hesitate. He walked like a grown man trapped in a child’s shell. Like someone who’d killed more people than this world could imagine. A guard spotted him approaching and frowned. "Where are you going?" Adam didn’t slow down. "Out." The guard stepped in front of him. "You can’t go anywhere. Slaves don’t wander." Adam looked up at him with a flat expression. "Move." The guard blinked. "Boy, don’t talk—" "Move."
