The sound of the alarm at the top of her bed pulled Ariana from the sweet dreams she was having about her and Calhoun making ming blowing love through out the night. She smiled at the thoughts as her eyes fluttered open.
What a weird dream. It felt so real.
Ariana stretched her hand to the side and her heart skipped a beat. There was warmth where her hand landed.
She turned her eyes slowly to the side of the bed where her hand was and she jumped out of bed in shock.
Calhoun Lawson was on her bed.
Calhoun stirred awake at the sound she made and smiled at her. His eyes darkened as he moved them over her body, which she hadn't realized it was uncovered.
"Good morning beautiful..." His husky morning voice trailed sending goosebumps all over her body as his eyes rested on her nipples. "If you are trying to seduce me, you are doing a really good job at it," he whispered.
Ariana followed his eyes and realized she was naked. The air condition in the room became too cold all of a sudden and she grabbed the portion of the huge blanket closest to her. She covered her chest with it and her wide eyes always fell out as she was still in shock.
It wasn't a dream at all last night.
How did she go from thinking about working for a man she thought to be a sex worker to actually sleeping with him?
"Oh my God!" She whimpered as she placed her free hand on her mouth.
Calhoun's eyes reduced and he smirked. "Are you thinking about how you slept with your boss on your first day at work?"
Ariana tried to think straight but the fact that he was there in the room with her and he was naked... It made it difficult for her to even breath right. The sound that came out of his voice when he spoke got her core aching all over again. Her body was calling for him and she would have to do something to be able to resist this man.
This whole thing was wrong.
"I am not thinking about that!" Ariana said firmly. "We both have to be at work and I need you to leave." She folded her hands across her chest and stood her ground.
She would not let him see how weak he made her legs feel.
Calhoun got up from the bed in all his manly glory and walked towards Ariana. Her mind was screaming to her to move back. It told her to run. But her body refused to listen. She stood there watching him approach her like an Egyptian god going to claim his lost lover.
Calhoun got to her and stopped. His bare chest was brushing the hands she folded on her chest. He looked down at her and passed a hand to caress her cheeks.
"Ariana, I want you."
Those where the simple words he said and Ariana was literally melting to the ground but fortunately, Calhoun caught her.
This was wrong. She couldn't be involved with her boss like this. He couldn't want her.
"We can't do this..." She managed to whisper out.
Calhoun led her back to the bed and sat her on his lap. His arms were around her possessively as his body stayed glued to hers.
"Why can't we do this?" He whispered back. "I want you and you want me too. You have wanted me ever since you laid eyes on me in that bar..."
The way he breathed the words into her ears made her nipples erect with pleasure. Calhoun was surely going to be the end of her. Everything he did, turned her on and she was starting to lose her mind again.
"Carl... I am...I just- I can't," she tried to say but no meaningful word left her mouth.
People like him didn't want commitment. People like him didn't stay in relationships with people like her. Ethan had thought her that. She wanted to be on her own, but even her heart could not let her say it out loud. He was right, she wanted him too. But not as a prostitute. If she was going to do this, she wanted more.
"I am not asking you to be warming my bed Ariana..." He started and she turned to looks at him. He looked into her eyes and she held her breath. "I want to marry you. I want you to be my wife..."
Ariana became red as her face flushed. This was more than she was hoping for. But could she take it?
"Are you asking me, or telling me?" She asked.
"Both." He retorted with confidence.
Calhoun was richer than Ethan. And more riches meant more problems. Beside, she wasn't certain she wanted this right now.
"I am not sure about this..." Ariana finally said with a shake of her head.
"I am not asking you to give me an answer right away, you can take your time. But I am not a very patient man, beautiful..." He trailed getting lost in her eyes.
Ariana felt her folds get wet again and if she didn't take charge things would go south really fast. She got up from his laps and pulled the entire blanket with her.
"Carl, I need to- I need time. And we should have this conversation with clothes on... Not like this," she said gesticulating to the way they were.
Calhoun smiled and nodded at her. "Okay, you are right. Your beautiful body makes the distraction harder but I must warn you that even with clothes, it's hard to keep my hands to myself."
He picked up his phone and went through his messages. Ariana just stood at the spot she was unable to move. At this point she wasn't even scared of Calhoun. She was scared of herself. It was also hard for her to keep her hands to herself. But she couldn't base this relationship on sex if at all that there was one.
"But you are right. We should start getting to work. I have a meeting by ten today, you will be coming with me."
He pulled on his clothes and got his phone. He walked towards her and pecked her forehead.
"I'll see you at work, beautiful."
