Monday finally came and Ariana Brown didn't feel so confident anymore. She rolled on the bed waiting for her bedside clock to read six o'clock so she could go take a shower and prepare herself. She had gone back to the mail and it said she had to resume by nine o'clock that morning to await the CEO's arrival thirty minutes after that.
What if he rejected her?
What if he thought she was incompetent and that was why Alice fired her?
So many questions came to her mind and her head became heavy on her shoulder. What would she do?
She needed to read. He might ask her questions, she had to be prepared. she jumped off her bed and went to her reading table just a few feet from her bed. She pulled one of her management textbooks and started flipping through the pages.
She squinted her eyes at the book trying to picture what she was seeing but nothing came to her mind. The letters looked jumbled and she couldn't read them. She was too anxious. Her heart was already beating at a very fast rate, if she continued like this, she would surely mess herself up when she got to the company.
Carl...
Her eyes went to her phone and as she got up to get to it, the device started ringing. She increased her pace and got to it on time. It was Carl calling.
A giddy smile spread on her face as she saw his name. Her secret sex worker was turning her head inside out. She was just the medicine she needed to overcome this anxiousness and jittery feeling.
"Hello," she answered, her smile never leaving her small face.
"Ariana," he whispered and Aria felt a jolt in her heart and a painful squeeze in between her legs. "How are you doing, Ariana?"
Aria slipped her bottom lips between her teeth as she slumped unto the bed. "I am good," she moaned.
"Am I calling at the wrong time?" Carl's smooth voice asked from the other end and she realized she hadn't replied to him out loud.
"No, no, it's fine. I am just a bit stressed out at the moment," she said slapping a hand to her forehead.
Carl released a deep throaty chuckle that left butterflies crawling in Aria's stomach. "What is stressing you Flower?" He asked after his torturous chuckle ended.
She shook the effect of his actions out of her head and clutched the phone firmly. He might not understand her pain because he wasn't very educated and he was just a sex worker. But she needed to talk to someone to be able to calm herself, if not she would mess herself and Zion up in front of Mr. Lawson.
What did she have to lose anyway?
"I am having an interview this morning and I am scared. I don't want to lose this job," she rushed in one breath before she could change her mind.
"What happened to your previous job?" He asked. She felt a sort of hostility in his voice but she wasn't certain who it was directed at.
"I got fired... It's a long story but I just got this one and I am meeting with the CEO today. I am really worried," Aria blurted.
"You are so beautiful I am sure the CEO will have no questions in his head to ask you. The scent of your perfume alone will tune out all scary questions, Flower. You shouldn't be scared nor afraid, except if it's my cock you are scared of... " he growled and Aria hissed.
This man was surely going to be the end of her.
"Carl..." She whispered as her hormones took over her anxiety. If she could, she would go to his workplace and book him for an entire day!
"You drive me crazy when you call my name like that," he whispered back in a hoarse voice.
Aria could give in to his sex tease forever but the sun was starting to come up in the sky. She had a life to attend to. She couldn't go on talking to Carl on the phone.
"I have to go now," she said, trying to sound as firm as she could but she knew he wouldn't buy it.
"Ariana when am I going to have you again?" He asked. "I am dying of need..."

"If I get the job, I'll come by your workplace," she heard her mouth say before she could stop herself.

She heard the smirk in his voice and she knew she had just made a deal with the devil.
"Good. I'll see you soon." The line went dead and Aria sat up staring at her phone.
Now she wasn't scared about not getting the job. The question in her head was, what if she got the job, would she keep her end of the bargain?
Her alarm rang and she snapped out of her thoughts as she ran to the bathroom. She stepped out minutes later and went ahead to put on a nice red dress Lisa had gotten for her birthday last year. It was both casual and formal at the same time. She didn't want to look too formal for her first day but also pass a message. She packed her hair into a low ponytail and rolled it over so it formed a chignon. Then using a single pin, she kept it in place.
For makeup, she just applied a little brush of power and gloss on her lips. She grabbed her purse and documents and ran out of her room. As she scurried to the living room, she ordered a ride on her phone. As soon as she stepped outside her apartment, the driver was already there waiting for her.
"The Lawson group," she told the driver and he started the car with a simple nod.
Luckily for her, the traffic was mild that morning and she got to the building at exactly nine o'clock. She went inside and introduced herself. she was directed to the thirteenth floor. As the elevator opened she saw the receptionist's seat right opposite her and she walked up to it.
"Good morning, I am Ariana Brown. I am here for Mr. Lawson," she said in her most professional voice.
"Aria!"
Someone yelled before the young woman on the desk could respond. She turned in the direction of the voice and her eyes met with Zion.
"Zion, good morning."
"Good morning. Olga please, I'll take it from here," he told the young woman behind them.
"He just stepped in and I was starting to get worried. You are right on time and ooh... You look amazing!" Zion complimented her as he walked her down the large hall to a private elevator. He had his glasses back on and a tie to complement his outfit.
"Thank you," Aria said as she walked with him. The floor they were on was large but there was barely anyone there aside from the young woman at the front desk.
The elevator opened and the air in the corridor they walked into was cooler than the one from where they came from. Aria felt a jolt in her heart and she knew the moment she had been waiting for was finally here. She would either walk out of here a strong woman with a job or a strong woman without a job.
"Just be yourself and don't forget to smile," Zion advised as he stopped in front of the second door. "Ready?"
"Yeah," she said firmly.
Zion opened the door and motioned for her to step in after him.
"Sir, Miss Brown is here," Zion said.
Mr. Lawson's chair was facing the large glass window behind him and as Zion spoke, he slowly turned the chair in their direction and Aria thought she had seen a ghost.
