Ariana tapped her feet on the ground as she waited for the meeting to end.
It had already been up to an hour since she was standing and the ache in her back was starting to get unbearable.
"I would definitely want to partner with you Miss Alice, just tell me where to sign," Miranda said...
She was the owner of the Essential mists, Alice's favorite house fragrance brand, which also happened to be Sofia's
Alice had set up the meeting because she also wanted her company to have the best smell.
Ariana handed the paper to her to sign. Miranda grabbed the paper and placed her signature on the left side.
Finally, the meeting was almost over
"Well I think it is done now, it will be nice doing business with you," Alice said with a fake smell obviously, before she shook hands with her.
Ariana exchanged a smile with her male personal assistant. Kyle, they had met at the annual press conference and many more events.
She walked them out of the office to their cars. It was something Alice insisted she did. Claiming it was a form of courtesy.
Ariana said her goodbyes to Kyle before she came back into the building.
It was not all the meeting she had today, They still had one more with the Lawson's company. The thoughts of it were already tiring
Ariana was aware that the Lawson's company was one of the biggest companies and most successful in the entire city. But she never met the true face behind it. It didn't even cross her mind that she could check the Internet to see his face, yet it wasn't her business
Ariana walked up the stairs case to get back to her office but she bumped into somebody.
"Argh, what is with bumping into people this day," Ariana said to herself as she stood up.
She helped the girl to pick her things up.
"I'm so sorry, here," she said as she handed her the books.
"You must be Ariana?" She asked as she stared at her face
"Yes I am, and you?" The face didn't look familiar. She must be a new employee.
"I'm Tara, Nice to meet you," She said.
Tara looked too classy to be a simple worker, Her elegance and her mode of speaking was High class.
"Do you work here?" Ariana asked as she tried to confirm her suspicions.
"No I don't, I came here to see Alice up there, " Tara said in a charming tone.
"Oh my bad I was supposed to attend to you miss Tara," Ariana said.
"Miss Tara? That's a little too much, Tara is fine. And I have already seen her, there is no need for that. The truth is I came here for you, Here's my card. Call me on Sunday let's talk over lunch" Tara said as She handed her a sophisticated black and purple card.
"Don't be late, oh and it's actually Mrs, but no need for that" She said with a smile before she walked away
Ariana placed the card in her pocket before she continued walking. It seemed weird that a high-class lady like Tara would speak to her.
Ariana reached her office, she looked around to see Lisa but there was no sign of her.
"Miss me already?" Lisa's voice said from behind.
"No I didn't, I just wanted to ask you something," Ariana said as Lisa settled behind her desk.
"Shoot," Lisa said as she fixed her eyes on her laptop.
"There was the lady that came here just like Ten minutes Ago, Do you know who she was?" Ariana asked.
"Tara?" Lisa asked as she gave her a quick glance.
"Yes, Tara!" Ariana answered.
Lisa stopped what she was doing and closed up the laptop.
"What do you need to know about her?" Lisa asked as she rested her chin on both of her arms.
"Everything that could be known?"
Lisa knew more about the people that came to visit Alice because they had to reach her before they got Ariana to fix the appointment. But this time nobody asked her to fix an appointment. It was probably a friendly visit, that would have been the reason why she wasn't aware.
Yet, it was just a five minutes walk but Tara piqued her interest and the fact that she said she came here to see her instead. Ariana was practically a nobody, why would a high class lady visit a nobody. She didn't send anybody she came by herself personally.
It was somewhat of an honor, but what could she possibly want to talk about with Ariana?
"She's a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton and I think she owns a makeup brand and she is also related to the owner of Essential mists. That's all I know about her for now, oh! And she married but I don't know to whom."
"Wow, thanks that's more than enough information, thanks what would I do without you!" Ariana said before she started to retreat to her office but stopped when she heard the loud call of her name.
"Ariana!" Alice's loud voice made her wince
She changed her direction and headed towards Alice's door.
"When did you schedule the meeting with the Lawson's enterprise?" Alice asked as she typed down on her MacBook.
"It's in the next three hours," Ariana said.
"Okay, Tell Lisa to call the designer and report to my office as soon as possible, Leave!" Alice dismissed.
"Oh! Listen when we get to the office stay away from the conference room!" She warned before she continued her work.
Ariana left her office to the front desk.
"Lisa, Alice needs you to call the designer and see her" Ariana delivered the message.
"Ariana there was a call for you, I told him to call you after thirty minutes using the office line. He will call back soon" Lisa said as she moved away.
She barely took three steps before the line went off.
"That must be him," She said as she handed her the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Ariana Brown speaking" She replied professionally...
"Aria, you need to come home fast it's an emergency!" The man yelled from the line and Ariana felt her soul leave her body.
