“What are you talking about? You are ready to do what exactly?” The guy asked with low voice, and he and Somia looking at each other.
“I am ready to kidnap Yusufar, uses him to collect all my family’s properties from my uncle. And if he want to pay smart, I am ready to pay him pay back with the same thing that he done to Ibrahim even worse than that!” Somia said with loud voice but Ashar or Semirat didn’t hear because they were far from them.
“Gather the boys now, call them and let us start this fight. I have seen that no any other way to collect it than to do this, so now I am ready for the war”
“Oh! Oh!!” The guy did, turned his faced and rubbing his head.
“What happened? You came up with this idea then, so why are you acting like this again---“Somia was talking when the guy interrupted with loud voice.
“Because it’s late already, it’s late!” Said with loud voice, that Ashar and Semirat had to look at them from where they were standing.
“Late! Late! Late as how!” Somia kept silent for few seconds.
“Why is it late? How?” She asked with low voice.
“Yusufar and his mother had left the country this morning, my friend told me” He replied with low voice.
“It was because of what happened to Ibrahim that made his wife to force out for the first time, and said that she is leaving him. Also he ordered Yusufar to go with her, and they have gone” The guy said with low voice and Somia turned back with anger.
“Shit! Shit!! This is bullshit!” She shouted, and beating herself up.
“I told you then, if you have allowed us to do it everything will be fine now. But you are scared then” The guy said and looking at Somia.
“We have to come up with another plan, we have to!” Somia said with loud voice and as she turned back to the guy.
“I must collect my father’s properties back from my uncle, so we have to come up on another plan” Somia said with anger.
“Any plan we want to come up with, must be well planned and we must be careful about it”
“That other time, my friend is the driver and Yusufar was just going from London. So that plan had already be a planned plan, because it’s very easy” Somia looked at him.
“Come up with another plan! We must give it what it takes!” Somia said with loud voice.
“Sure! Anything you said Som---“The guy was taking when Ashar got there.
“What is going on here?” Ashar asked with low voice, and Semirat too got there.
“Why did you drag him away from me and came here to be talking secretly, what are you planning Somia?” Ashar asked with low voice.
“Nothing! Just don’t disturb yourself about it!” Somia said with low voice, and Ashar looked at her.
“On that! He had worked for my father before, even we are the first person he would work for and as our personal laundry man then. We met when I and my siblings came home for our father’s funeral” Somia said with low voice and introduced the guy.
“Yes! Even it was the money that madam gave us then that I used to establish myself. It was on that day that she came to your house that I met her again, and so happy to see her that day” The guy said with smiles on his face.
“So why are you both lying that you didn’t know each other? I asked you last two weeks when somethings are confusing me about Somia, begged you to tell me about her but you said you know nothing about her. That she just uses to help you with customers” Ashar said with low voice.
“I am sorry Sir! But it’s the order giving to me by her!” The guy said with low voice.
“Am sorry, and you have known the reason now!” Somia said with low voice.
“Let’s me go and see Ibrahim!” The guy said, and excused himself from that place. Ashar walked closer to Somia, and looking into her eye ball.
“I know you like to be hiding things to yourself, but please stop it and always let me know because we are all in this together!” Ashar said with low voice.
“Okay!” Somia said with smiles, and two of them looking at each other.
“So let go to the ward to see Ibrahim!” Somia said, passed beside Ashar and walking in the same line with Semirat, and when Ashar was walking behind them.
“Have you see the doctor? And has he said anything on Ibrahim’s health? His leg” Semirat asked.
“No! The nurse said that he is not around, that he comes to see us in the afternoon and give us the report about his health” Somia replied with low voice.
“Alright! Everything is going to be fine!” Semirat said with low voice.
Three of them were coming out from the room when they saw the police with the secretary, the police just arrived and just asking about them.
“Excuse me please, the police are here” The lady called them as she saw them, they turned back and going to the secretary.
“They are the relatives of the victim, his mother is inside with him!” The lady said and talking to the police.
“Alright! Thank you very much!” One of the police officer replied, and the man was the one that lead the teams to the hospital. The police too were walking to Somia and co as they too were walking closer to them.
“Good afternoon Mr. Ashar, are you close to them?” The man asked and greeted Ashar with respect.
“Yes! She is my P. A, and both are working in my father’s company” Ashar replied.
“Oh! The hospital called yesterday night and told us that a patient was brought with a bullet in his body, mean he was attempted to kill!” Somia’s mother stood up as she was hearing some voice and the way they were talking. They were standing at the front of the ward that Ibrahim was.
“Are you both a family to the victim?” The man asked Semirat and Somia.
“Yes!” Somia’s replied with low voice. Somia’s mother looked out and saw the police.
“So what can you tell us, who did it happen?”
“I think there is nothing to say, we have told the hospital before!” Somia said with loud voice.
“Are you trying to hind it from us, police officer? It’s good to talk and bring it to law” Another man said with loud voice.
“Good day Sirs!” Somia’s mother said with low voice as she came out.
“Or are you the mother of the boy?” The man asked.
“Yes I am, and all of them are my children!” She replied.
“Oh! Good then, so how did it happen? Tell us, who did this to him?” The man asked and faced Somia’s mother.
“I don’t know oh! I don’t know who want to kill my son for me” She said with sadness and none of them didn’t want to talk about it.
“How did it happen? Did you meet him in the house shot or how?” The man asked and didn’t bother to talk to Somia or Semirat again.
“I and his siblings were inside the house when we just heard the sound of a gunshot, as we ran out we met him in a pool of blood” Somia’s mother replied.
“Okay! So where was he coming from that night?” The second man asked.
“He was coming from shop, because my shop got burnt so he went there to check on something” The police officer looked at each other.
“So, who are you thinking that may want to kill that small boy?”
“I have no idea!” Somia’s mother replied.
“Okay! Accept, which school is he?” The man asked.
“He is in a private university in this Lagos” Somia and other were just looking and didn’t say a word.
“Do you know his friends, did he tell you anything maybe he had a fought with anyone of them?” The police were looking at them and recording Somia’s mother’s voice down for investigation purpose.
“No! It’s he and his sister that are there, and she didn’t report him to me. And also my son doesn’t use to fight, he is gentle” Somia’s mother replied.
“Okay! But can we see him, maybe to just have a talk with him?” The man asked.
“I am sorry, he is sleeping now so you can’t” She lied, they just didn’t want police to get into it fully.
“Oh! I understand, maybe we will have to come back then-----“
“Why don’t you just forget about it, I don’t want to drag it” Somia’s mother replied.
“Why? We are talking about attempted murder case here, so we must get to the root of it Ma. Ma, calm down and I am assuring you that we will find the person” The man said with loud voice.
“Please! Just leave it, we don’t want all these” Somia said with loud voice.
“Yes! Just let it go, that is what we want!” Somia’s mother too said with loud voice.
“It’s like you really know what happened, so why are you scared to talk to us and let us help” The second man said with low voice.
“Sir! Just accept what we said, and we don’t know who did this. Just leave it and let its go” Somia said and frowning her face. The police officers looked at each other.
“It’s like you are not ready to talk, and to talk is what will be good for all of us!” None of them said anything just looking.
“Alright! If you are ready to talk, this is my card or come to our station” The man gave Somia’s mother his card.
“Mr. Ashar, bye Sir and see you again!” The man shook hand with Ashar and going, when his other teams too followed him.
