It's worth remembering that I am, after all, a media personality. And with that comes a certain degree of recognition. It's important, every so often, to remind people about who I am—and show my endless gratitude for the love and loyalty from so many fans and subscribers, which, by the way, have noticeably increased. To celebrate this bright and heartfelt holiday, I sincerely congratulated everyone. As a bonus, I released a new music video for my latest song. In honor of the occasion, I chose a track by the American pop-rock band Maroon 5—specifically one of their most well-known songs, "Sugar." It felt like the perfect anthem for this sweet holiday.

I thought the song was such a perfect fit that I put together an animated video in the likeness of a greeting card. I couldn't resist making it as sweet as the day itself. I mean, honestly, who doesn't crave a bit of sugar every once in a while? I wanted that cupcake, I wanted that candy, and—let's be honest—I wanted to keep it all to myself! After all, sometimes a man's got to step it up, especially when you have a girl hotter than Southern California.
To my delight, the first comments rolled in rapidly. It was great to see people enjoying the song and video so much. In the end, that's all that really matters: making others happy, sharing joy, and living in the moment. But the day wasn't over. When days like Valentine's arrive, it can put a lot of pressure on any man, particularly if he has more than one girlfriend. Yes, I'm talking about myself here. I know, I should simply be grateful that I am officially in a relationship with three girls—four, if you count that wild, unpredictable blonde. Still, since there's no clear line crossed yet, can I really say we're together? Perhaps that's a question best left for another day!
With that in mind, I decided to get a head start. The candy store was my first stop, and to my horror, I saw a line that stretched out the door. Honestly, how many people can fit into a shop at once? There was no way I'd wait half a day to get through that crowd. Good thing I'd thought ahead and ordered gift boxes of sweets in advance. All I had to do was pick up my order—one of my better decisions, because just seeing the crowd was enough to send a chill down my spine.
First mission complete, I headed to the Gotham Gazette to see the brilliant and charming journalist Victoria. Per Vale's request, I didn't go up to her desk, but waited outside in my car. Victoria showed up almost immediately.
"Well, you came to congratulate me?" she asked, her voice teasing, taking the basket of chocolates without hesitation.
"I wouldn't dare not come," I replied, stealing a gentle kiss. Honestly, I wondered if her lips would taste even sweeter tonight.
"Tonight I'm throwing a party at Madame Alexandra's restaurant…"
"Yes, I remember," Victoria interrupted, glancing gratefully at her present. "I look forward to it. I'll definitely come."
A few more minutes of warm conversation, and she hurried back to the office.
Next on my list was Gotham's socialite, Silver St. Cloud. She received not only her gift but also an invitation to the evening's affair. I couldn't forget about Detective Renee Montoya—she too got her chocolates and an invitation. At the recording studio, I made sure to congratulate everyone, handing baskets to Dazzler and her deputy, Vivian Diaz.
At the main office, I presented candies to Barbara Gordon and my exceptional secretary, Heather. Yes, I was thorough; after all, it was candy day! I even sent two gift bags to the town of Midway for Power Girl and her mother, though not an invitation. Of course, Karen could fly to Gotham in an instant if she wished, her Kryptonian abilities making most journeys trivial. Still, Bruce probably wouldn't appreciate the extra drama.
Speaking of Bruce, I invited him and Dick to the party, but—as always—they politely declined. No matter; I'll absolutely drag Bruce along for Halloween. That's my true favorite holiday, and the day of sweets can be enjoyed without Gotham's Dark Knight.
After the office festivities, I ventured over to Babylon, where two remarkable female scientists work—of course, I brought them gifts as well. My protector, Sasha Bordeaux, was among the first to receive a sweet basket. I made sure to invite two clever, resourceful women to the evening's celebration. When it came to Pamela, I politely asked her to bring her unique green skin closer to a natural hue. For those who don't know, she can control her tone at will; with some normal clothes, she blends in effortlessly with any crowd.
One more stop remained: Arkham Asylum. It's true, I have a special someone there I wanted to congratulate in person. Harley greeted me in her usual, slightly mad, but always charming way. She seemed genuinely stunned that I'd come all the way to Arkham just to bring her a basket with chocolates and cakes.
"I've never celebrated this day, never been given sweets before," Quinzel admitted with a hint of sorrow, her cheeks bulging as she devoured a pie.
"Be careful, don't get a cavity," I said with a worried smile.
"It's fine, don't worry about me," she replied, dismissing the notion with a flick of her hand.
"At least have some water," I urged, sliding a cool bottle her way.
"Yeah." Watching her lose herself in sweets was oddly endearing—she could seem so harmless, almost innocent.
I remained with Harley for more than an hour, but inevitably, time pressed on and the evening party drew near.
"Thank you, Alex," Quinn said as she hugged me fiercely. "This is the best holiday I've ever had."
