A barely perceptible vibration near my prefrontal cortex.
I didn’t lunge. Didn’t startle it.
With glacial patience, I coaxed it forward, using aura to create a "path" of clarity. The locus hesitated... then flowed along the channel I’d made, settling at last into a defined nexus point.
A full half-hour had passed, but all three loci now stood anchored, Body at the solar plexus, Energy at the heart, Mind cradled behind the forehead.
On to Step 2: [Isolation].
It wasn’t that difficult either, as this wasn’t my first time separating awareness . Virion called it "split-awareness" training.
One by one, I pulled back my perception.
First, from the Energy Locus, letting its vibrant pulse fade into a background hum, while sharpening my focus entirely on the Body Locus at my solar plexus.
I felt the subtle way my aura pooled in muscle and bone, the precise path of breath passing through my lungs, and how each heartbeat rippled outward like soft echoes. I sank into this pure physical awareness for a moment.
Then I released that focus.
My attention shifted to my Energy Locus. Its sensation was like sunlight flickering behind closed eyelids, soft and steady. I watched the flow of aura settle into its own quiet rhythm, undisturbed by other sensations.
Last was the Mind Locus, nestled behind my forehead.
The locus pulsed faintly, like a drop of water hanging from a thread, perfectly balanced.
Thirty minutes passed like mist drifting over still water.
By the time I exhaled, my body felt oddly light.
The last step, Step 3: [Independent Flow]
Now, I had to trust the loci to move on their own.
The Body Locus began first. Soft waves of vitality circled through me, warming my limbs, tracing my spine, tingling at my fingertips. It was as if I was slowly remembering how to exist within my own skin.
Next came Energy. Its rhythm no longer felt like a heartbeat, but a slow tide. Breathing in, aura gathered. Breathing out, it dispersed.
Finally, the Mind Locus. I almost didn’t notice when it began. It was not loud or bright. It was just a still current, looping gently in my thoughts. Awareness circled back on itself in a quiet, effortless way.
I didn’t realize I was smiling until my lips twitched upward again.
All three loci were now doing what they should have from the start.
Stable. Independent. Flowing.
This was Stage 0 complete.
I opened my eyes slowly, my vision clearer than it had been all day.
Everything inside me had gone quiet.
This must be what a proper foundation feels like.
And now, I was ready for the next stage.

The name alone sent a thrill through me.
It was about creating a perpetual motion, a self-sustaining cycle where each locus fed into the next without end. Once completed, I wouldn’t need to consciously control it; it would simply exist, providing an endless sense of profound balance.
I closed my eyes and let the knowledge unfold in my mind.
Unlike brute-force synchronization, this required interweaving. Not just aligning the loci, but threading them together in an endless loop.
Closing my eyes, I sank back into my visualized body.
First, I mapped them out in my mind’s eye:
- Mind (forehead) – The conductor, the will that guided the flow.
- Energy (heart) – The furnace, the source of power.
- Body (solar plexus) – The vessel, the anchor to reality.
Then, I visualized the threads.
A thin, shimmering line extended from my Mind Locus downward, connecting to the Energy Locus. Another thread branched from Energy to Body. The final link, Body back to Mind, would complete the loop.
The first hour passed in absolute focus.
At times, the connections frayed, the threads snapping like overstretched wire. But each time, I reforged them, patience outweighing frustration. Slowly, the pathways stabilized, humming with latent potential.
Now, the real test: flow.
I began with the Mind.
A single pulse of will traveled down the thread, entering the Energy Locus. The heart-center brightened, aura swirling eagerly before passing the current onward, down to the Body.
Solar plexus alight, the energy rippled through muscle and bone before cycling back up, returning to the Mind.
Inhale. Exhale. Pause.
Mind → Energy → Body → repeat.
The rhythm took hold.
Each cycle smoothed the pathways further, the threads thickening into cables, the pauses between transfers shrinking until—
A perfect, self-sustaining circuit.
Energy poured endlessly from one locus to the next, no conscious input required. The sensation was euphoric, like a wheel finally spinning on its own, momentum building with every rotation.
I fell deeper into the trance, the outside world dissolving into white noise. There was only the loop now, the infinite rhythm, the harmony of them all becoming one.
Time lost its meaning...
A faint ripple passed through my vision as I slowly opened my eyes.
The world came into focus with startling clarity - every dust mote suspended in the air, every grain of wood in the floorboards, even the faintest variations in the stone walls stood out in perfect detail.
Colors appeared more vibrant, sounds more distinct, as if I’d been living in a fog that had suddenly lifted.
My body felt... different. Lighter yet more substantial, as if every cell had been realigned with perfect precision.
But most astonishing was the constant, effortless flow of aura cycling through me - the Infinite Loop humming along on its own, a perpetual motion machine of energy that required no conscious input.
The greatest change was in my mind. My thoughts moved with crystalline clarity, my awareness expanded beyond its previous limits.
It was as if the walls of my mental space had been pushed outward, creating room for... more. More understanding. More control. More potential.
A soft exhale escaped my lips as I turned my head.
There, leaning against the wall beside the door, stood Zephyr. His silver hair caught the light as he opened his eyes, sensing my movement.
"Did you... do it?" he asked, voice quiet but carrying perfectly in the newfound stillness of the room.
I nodded, flexing my fingers as I tested the effortless movement of energy through them.
"Yes." The word came out softer than I intended, carrying a weight of gratitude.
"And... thank you for protecting me."
